This Privacy Policy applies to the Grok Prompt Queue browser extension ("the Extension"), published by Backslash Robotics. The current version of this policy is available at: https://www.backslashrobotics.com/legal/grok-prompt-queue/privacy

Grok Prompt Queue is a browser extension that lets you queue prompts on grok.com so they send one at a time while Grok is responding. This policy explains what data the Extension handles and how.

We designed the Extension to keep your data on your own device wherever possible. We do not operate a server that receives your prompts, your conversations, or your files.

What the Extension stores on your device

To do its job, the Extension stores the following locally in your browser only:

  • Queued prompt text — the messages you queue, kept in your browser's local storage until they are sent or you remove them.
  • Attachments you queue — any files you attach to a queued prompt are stored temporarily in your browser's local database (IndexedDB) until that prompt is sent, then deleted.
  • Queue settings and state — for example whether the queue is running or paused.

This information never leaves your browser. It is not transmitted to us or to any third party, and we cannot see it.

Payment and subscription data

The Extension offers an optional paid subscription for unlimited queueing. We do not process payments ourselves. Payments and subscription status are handled by ExtensionPay, which uses Stripe as the payment processor.

When you choose to subscribe:

  • You provide your email address and payment details directly to ExtensionPay/Stripe through their secure payment page.
  • We never receive or store your card or payment details. Those are handled entirely by Stripe.
  • The Extension checks your subscription status (paid or not paid) through ExtensionPay in order to unlock paid features.

What we do not collect

  • We do not collect or transmit the content of your Grok prompts or conversations.
  • We do not collect your browsing history.
  • We do not track your activity across websites.
  • We do not sell or share your data with third parties.
  • We do not use your data for advertising, creditworthiness, or lending.

Permissions the Extension uses

  • Storage — to save your queue and settings locally in your browser.
  • Access to grok.com — so the Extension can read the prompt you type and send queued prompts on the page. This access is limited to grok.com.
  • Access to extensionpay.com — used only to support the payment and subscription flow.

Data retention

Locally stored queue data remains in your browser until the prompt is sent, you remove it, or you uninstall the Extension. Subscription records are retained by ExtensionPay/Stripe according to their own policies.

Children's privacy

The Extension is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
